“Art in general and beauty in the aesthetic sense can help to change the way we live and share things” – says Hans Camille Vancol, dancer, choreographer and artistic director of the Vic Ballet School.
Dance, and art in general, represent a privileged way to reach the hearts of people, to tell the story of life and the contemporary world with all its qualities and countless faults. H. C. Vancol uses dance as a means to artistically interpret everything around him, even something as unmoving as furnishing accessories.
His most recent project – produced by the Vic Ballet School with the support of the luxury marble company Citco – is called “Second Chance” and it investigates the power of dance to give people a second chance. Its message is intended to be one of love to those who are lost in the shadows of doubt, or who have fallen on hard times. Through dance, Hans interprets the Citco collection. His body explores space, examines the surface of the marble walls and mimics the lines and shapes of the complements that surround it.
