The German car manufacturer presents the prototype of the Vision Future Interaction, the most futuristic car designed under the environmentally friendly BMW i brand. The aim of its creators is to be able to manage all the functions of a car without having to actually touch any physical command.
Coated with a high-resolution display, the dashboard of the German concept car shows a highly unique yet essential look. The new touch frontier has been reached using AirTouch, the innovative gestural recognition system that thanks to its sensors, is able to “capture” hand movements even when made in depth, making it possible to control the entire wide screen without the need for any physical contact.
Another outstanding technological innovation comes with the Open Mobility Cloud which is able to put different types of object in contact with each other, such as an i3, a smart home or a Smartwatch. Thanks to this cloud concept, you can see information and functions on the Mobility Mirror, a mirror-display with which you can check personal calendars, home automation, the charging status of an electric car and much more.
Leave the car parked and find dents when you return? As well as helping while parking, the Remote 3D System View is capable of sending images taken by the car cameras to portable media devices connected via the Open Mobility Cloud. This way, when something collides with the vehicle, the car recognizes the vehicle responsible and sends its images to the owner’s Smartphone.
