Chicago is one of the cities I love the most, its breathtaking architecture and its American soul make it more attractive than New York in my eyes. Visiting the Windy City means getting lost in an urban jungle of contemporary and historic skyscrapers that come together to offer unique views and cityscapes.
From the great fire that destroyed the city in 1871, in less than two centuries Chicago has been completely transformed into one of the richest and most beautiful cities in the States. Visiting this metropolis located on the shores of Lake Michigan is to immerse yourself in steel, glass and stone buildings that emanate elegance and grandeur while transmitting the memory of the American “Golden Age”, not nostalgia for the past but the chance to daydream once more.
And this is why I love the work of Angie McMonigal, photographs that perfectly describe the forest of skyscrapers, the diversity in styles and geometric lines of this Midwestern city!
