The famous French designer Patrick Norguet has created an interesting collaboration with Lea Ceramiche with the name PAD, which Norguet devised for the Slimtech Take Care collection. Consisting of two drawings, Tamis and Oakland, PAD recreates two abstract patterns with irregular and imprecise features applied to large slabs.
The Grand Angle installation created for the company’s Milan showroom is formed by the two decorations that frame the perspective sections of the space. Enlivened by furnishings from Ethimo Outdoor Decor, the new graphics transform the traditional coating into a new furniture element. Combined with flooring from the Take Care collection, the PAD surfaces highlight the material’s expressive potential, its tactility and softness and the iridescent and slightly raised effect of the designs which generate movement and fluidity on the ceramic surface.
This collaboration with the French designer started in 2010 and testifies to the approach adopted by Lea Ceramiche of establishing partnerships with international scene designers and design culture professionals in order to present continuous examples of new and fresh interpretations of ceramics. The exhibition can be seen at the showroom in via Durini 3 until March 2017.
