SOU FUJIMOTO’S BUILDINGS INSPIRE AKRIS AT PARIS FASHION WEEK

Posted on

On October 4th, the creative director of Akris, Switzerland-based fashion house, Albert Kriemler presented his spring/summer 2016 collection at the Grand Palais in Paris in collaboration with renowned Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto.

According to Krimler, “there are architects whose vision is close to what fashion really is about – creating a relation between the body and the environment that helps human beings to live comfortably. Sou is an architect who understands that we have more senses than just the eye.”

In addition to the clothes themselves, a replica of Fujimoto’s House N was built into the top of the catwalk, and all of the models wore mirrored eyepieces that mimic Fujimoto’s glasses.
