The recently inaugurated exhibition at the Achille Castiglioni Foundation intends to explore a topic that was considered in depth by the Castiglioni brothers, namely that of the Domestic Dimension.
The exhibition, which will develop over the three years from 2016 to 2018 analyzes the themes of living. This year, the focus is on the re-visited Environment for the Living Room that Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni had created in 1957; next year will see the presentation of the Environment prepared for Lunch that was created for the “The inhabited house” exhibition of 1965 while 2018 will see the re-edition of the Environment for lunch, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1984. For each of these exhibitions a philological reconstruction of the room as created by the Castiglioni brothers on those historic occasions will be presented.
The Domestic Dimension exhibition is curated by Beppe Finessi, graphic design is by Italo Lupi and the staging is by Marco Marzini.
The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday, 17th January until 30th October 2016 by appointment only (Tel. 02.8053606 / email@example.com )
