On 31st March 2021 at 11.00 am there will be the presentation, on the Zoom platform and live on Facebook, of the ebook published by Marsilio Editori entitled “Racconti e immagini. Memoria e testimonianza del vissuto al tempo del Covid-19“, a collection of stories from #tiraccontodacasa, a writing contest promoted by the Associazione Civita and launched a year ago to coincide with the first national lockdown.
After the initial greeting by Simonetta Giordani, Secretary General of the Associazione Civita, the participation of the sociologist Domenico De Masi, the Managing Director of Marsilio Editori Luca De Michelis, the writer and juror Ginevra Lamberti is planned. The meeting will be moderated by Andrea Vianello, journalist and juror. There will also be the extraordinary participation of Caterina Guzzanti who will read the winning stories from the contest.
#tiraccontodacasa was an initiative that attracted a large number of participants, testifying to the irrepressible need for sharing that people had during a period of restrictions, dilated rhythms and hopes.
The contest jury, made up of writers Iacopo Barison and Ginevra Lamberti and journalists Andrea Vianello and Giorgio Zanchini, after a careful evaluation of the approximately 200 entries, selected the winning short stories and thoughts that best interpreted the spirit of the moment and represented the “memory” of that exceptional situation, so extreme as to make the (extra)ordinary and isolation the greatest act of national solidarity.
The time spent at the window, the meeting in the streets of the neighbourhood, the lunches at home and the moments with the family, the ebook “Tales and Images” is a journey through the unseen sensations and emotions experienced during that forced isolation, but above all the moment of their sharing, without restrictions. The texts are accompanied by images selected from the #contestmostriamoci photo contest, which also used another art form to tell the story of the lockdown.
