Scalo Milano City Style is the new Milan shopping district developed by Lonati Group and Promos and designed by Metrogramma in collaboration with Cotefa engineers & architects. A true luxury neighbourhood where fashion, good food, art and design come together. It stands on a former industrial area and precisely for this reason, is intended to represent an urban environment where the buildings laid out along open streets and squares demonstrate an architecture inspired by the factories of the last century but reinterpreted in a contemporary style.
In the external spaces the squares are transformed into urban lounges where the flooring comprising 2,200 square metres of Margraf marble is embellished with three different types of stone, Lipica Fiorito, Rosso Asiago and Carnico Grigio that define the spaces in the same way that a carpet does and which re-draw a new relationship between vertical and horizontal elements. They have been intentionally combined to reproduce the nuances expressed by the façades.
